Let's start GDD 2021! We will greet you from Gdynia during the official opening of the festival. Then Agata Nowotny will invite us and her guests to discuss how to interpret the slogan of this year's edition and about the ideas behind the festival. We will focus on what unites us.

After decades of developing scenarios, plans and scenarios for the future, we find ourselves in a place where we barely understand what is happening to us here and now. At many levels of life, we experience a breakdown: social bonds, values and responsibilities. During the debate, we will look together for answers to what role people play in a world full of tension, and what are objects, things and waste that litter the planet more and more? We will also ask whether a drifting society can be given direction? How can we build lasting connections between divergent parties? We will consider whether there is a chance to re-arrange values in such a highly polarized world?

The event is accessible to people with hearing disabilities, translated into sign language.
